Assembly, New People & Fun Times

So we have a new place we like to hang out on Mondays (our free day) and sometimes for our siestas. Its a dock that was built here not that long ago and the owners let us just hang out on it and jump off. The water is so clear you can see right to the bottem.
El Muelle

A starfish that we found

We were jokeing around that if Danielle gets burnt on her back one more time she is going to have a growth as big as the starfish.

Sunset

Then in the same week we had 4 new people move to Corn Island to help! This is Tim and Stephanie Gram from Australia ( walking from the airport) that will be here for around 6 months.

Jeremy Turek from Iowa with keys to the house he is renting a few months while he is here. Already he is schedualed for 5 of the next 8 public talks on Sunday- he is going to be pretty busy!

And Chrissy Acosta from Chicago area - we are so excited that she is going to be living with us hopefully until we leave!

Beach time with Chrissy

One of Chrissy's studies ( she already has like 5!!) gave us pounds and pounds of mangos - Yum!

Last week we had our Circut Assembly and Pioneer day. It was so exciting because we had so many of the publishers and studies attened. 29 in total which is a recored and a pretty good ratio for our hall of 10! This is a photo of Danielito and Margarita - it was Daniel's first assembly and boat trip.

Tim and Stephanie

Friends from Corn Island

Danielito slept a good part of the 8 hour boat ride to Blue Fields.
Our little boat the Rio Escondido

Little Danielito made it!

Pioneer Day - Laura, Danielle and I had a demostration

Our fun pioneer group

The assembly was of course so refreshing! It was nice to see friends that we had met at the assembly before. - Xochilt and I

Jeremy was asked to be an attendent - not bad after being in the country for 4 days!

The Corn Island girls
Friends from Blue Fields

The Corn Island group - its so big!!

This couple is great - George and Heather. They are 22 and 23, just got marriend not that long ago and are serving as precusores especial in English in a far out area called Pearl Lagon. They are the only baptized people in thier group and besides them is one unbaptized publisher. They are not offically assigned to our assembly but snuck over to be with the brothers.

Fatima and I

Josue and Felix are in the sign language group in Blue Fields and translated alot of the parts for the deaf that attended.

Party at a friends house

Getting a ride in the back of a truck on the way home

We had some friends visiting us so we couldnt wait for the next boat which left in the middle of the next week so we flew home. 15 min in the air is so much easier then the 11 hours on the "mar bravo" that the other friends had to deal with - poor things everyone was throwing up and 7 times they thought the boat was going to flip over!

Home Sweet Home

Back home and out in service Chrissy found a baby monkey at a door out in service and they let her feed him with a bottle

Stephanie and Ambrosia out in service - Ambrosia leaves this monday - how fast 3 months go!

1st dinner at Jeremy's house with visiting friends which you'll see more of in the next post i think. Hope you are all doing well - later! -LF

first one! first one! got it this time! i hope...chrissy? can you hold me soothingly like you did that monkito? so...when are you going to adopt your own monkey? are you going to bring one back with you? can you bring one for me? actually that one is pretty cute, just bring him. i will name him...Kavannush. sounds "islandy-persian" doesn't it, in honor of his heritage of course. i wouldnt want him to forget that, its a part of who he is, where he came from. he is going to love it at my house, i have the perfect spot for him. thanks.

Hey Guys. Got your blog address from Sunny Adams. Said he met Lynette at a wedding in Maine a long time ago. Anywho, he passed it along because my husband and I are moving to Nica in September. We were there last year for a month during the English Assembly. I looked through your pictures and you look familiar but I don't know if we met. We did meet Isaac and Laura though and I remember them saying that they 2 sisters had just been sent to Corn Islands with them and they were so excited. It was really fun looking at your pictures. We are hoping to come visit the corn islands sometime. We were going to last time but we ran out of time and money. Maybe we'll see you there. We would love to hear from you. Here is our e-mail - benyalissa@yahoo.com. Hope to hear from you! -aLiSsA
