Service Days

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well... tonight I'm posting a few photos from everyday service here on the island to show what the conditions are like and what people live in. It really makes us appreciate our conveniences and shows us what a person can live with out.
Public restroom anyone?

People are pretty relaxed on the island

Some houses are on little stilts so it won't flood in the rainy season

Its neat to see people start to read the mags right away

most everyone will listen in service

Sometimes we ride the bus...when its working...
But most of the time we walk ...EVERYWHERE!! - you get used to it

And sometimes our studies give us food like all these avacados that Chrissy's study gave us- yum!!

On thursdays the boat leaves for Bluefields so sometimes we start early to preach on the boat and dock where people are waiting

This morning at the dock Jeremy Laura and I placed 100 mags in 1.5 hours

Most houses have dirt floors and no running water - it makes you appreciate the basics

I love this one because it shows how full of color the island is...
Well my Corn Island days are coming to an end... my sisters are here visiting and then I will be heading back to Maine with them for a few months but I think Chrissy and Danielle are going to keep up with the blog. Thank so much to everyone that has kept in touch - it has been great!! - Lynette
